Pastor Ekhoff

Pastor Erwin Ekhoff was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois.  He received his elementary and two years of his high school education in Crete, Illinois.  Having an awareness of the call of God into the ministry, Pastor Ekhoff attended Northwestern College, of Watertown, Wisconsin in a college preparatory program as a high school junior to be followed by four years of college also at Northwestern, graduating in 1972.  In the fall of that same year, Pastor Ekhoff entered Bethany Lutheran Seminary in Mankato, Minnesota to prepare for the ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  He served his vicarage at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Bishop, California also receiving a call from this congregation to be its pastor.  He graduated from Bethany Lutheran Seminary in 1976.  

Ekhoff has served at Pilgrim Lutheran, Waterloo, Iowa, and since August 1, 1982 continues to serve at King of Grace Lutheran, Golden Valley, Minnesota.  He has served the Lord through the Evangelical Lutheran Synod in a variety of ways; Board for Home Mission for 27 years, serving as its chairman for more than 20 of those years; various Presidential Ad Hoc Committees, and is now serving as a Board member of the Regents of Bethany College and Seminary.

Pastor Ekhoff was united in holy matrimony to his childhood sweetheart, Cynthia on July 1, 1972.  Their marriage has been blessed with four sons; Jonathan, Paul, Nathan, and Timothy, and one daughter, Erin.  They have been greatly blessed with eleven grandchildren.


Pastor Wiechmann

Ben Wiechmann was born to David and Ann Wiechmann in Mankato, MN. He was baptized at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Shortly thereafter his family moved to Boone, Iowa where he attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School through 3rd grade. After relocating once more to the Twin Cities, Ben attended Bloomington Lutheran School and was confirmed at Living Hope Lutheran Church in Savage, MN. After graduating from West Lutheran High School in Plymouth, he went on to receive his B.A. in Business Administration from Bethany Lutheran College.  Ben attended Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary and served his vicarage at King of Grace, Golden Valley, Minnesota.  His first call was to remain at King of Grace and has served there as pastor since June of 2013.    

In the summer of 2010 he married his high school sweetheart, Emily.  Together they have been blessed with a son, Eli and a daughter, Molly.
