Fellowship

    Bethany Women's Auxiliary
  • The Bethany Women's Auxiliary exists to support our Synod's college, Bethany Lutheran College, in Mankato, Minnesota. Through regular meetings and participation in fundraisers, the Auxiliary is able to contribute money to fund special projects and ongoing programs at Bethany.

All women of the congregation are invited to join this group, which meets four times each year, in the months of September, October, January and April. These meetings consist of a devotion followed by a short business meeting, capped off with refreshments. At their April meeting each year, the Auxiliary sponsors an ice cream social fundraiser in conjunction with the quarterly meeting of the King of Grace Voters Assembly.

The highlight of each year for our Auxiliary is the annual trip to Mankato in October to attend Bethany Women's Auxiliary Day. There they join Auxiliary chapters from throughout the Synod for an activity-filled day, including worship in Bethany's beautiful Trinity Chapel, tours of the thriving campus, visits to typical dorm rooms, an afternoon program presented by the Fine Arts Department and the annual business meeting.
    Jesus Cares
  • Jesus Cares provides an opportunity to know our Lord for the developmentally disabled. Meetings are the first three Tuesdays of the month from September – June.  Please contact Larry McDonald for more information.

    King's Daughters
  • King's Daughters is a women's group that meets on the 4th Monday each month. Meetings begin with a short devotion and a study based on God's Word, perhaps focusing on women of the Bible or other issues of interest. All women are welcome to join this group.

This organization supports various programs and projects at King of Grace. Every fall the King's Daughters purchase children's Bibles, which are then presented to the third graders of the Sunday School during a church service. In the spring of each year, they sponsor a mother-daughter banquet. Each summer this group provides financial assistance to the Vacation Bible School program. King's Daughters also dispenses funds for Baptism napkins, items to stock the church kitchen and floral arrangements to beautify the sanctuary at Christmas and Easter.

A list of King's Daughters' accomplishments would not be complete without mentioning the Fall Bazaar, held the first Saturday of November every year. This annual event is a joint effort of several societies and organizations at King of Grace, but is coordinated primarily by the King's Daughters. It is their major fundraiser and is a highly popular event at King of Grace, drawing in congregation members and people from the community alike. The bazaar offers hand-made crafts, a Granny's Attic table, homemade goodies for purchase and an A La Carte Cafe.

    King's Littlest Kids
  • King's Littlest Kids provides an opportunity for moms and the littlest children of King of Grace to meet for fellowship.  Children are led through a short Bible study and have the opportunity to play while the moms attend Bible study led by Pastor Wiechmann.  For more information, please contact Emily Bredeson.
