Altar Flowers

Sign up on the Flower Chart on the wall across from the main entrance to the Fellowship Hall and fill out the “Altar Flowers Order Form” to provide flowers to beautify our sanctuary in memory of, or to celebrate loved ones.  Flower bouquets are $28.  Reminder:  If you ordered flowers for one of our Sunday services and took home the plastic white cup, please return it to the church office or the kitchen as soon as possible.  These need to be returned to the florist for creating our arrangements.  Thank you!

Christian Living Class

The next Christian Living class will be on Wednesday, October 18 at 6:30 PM.  The topic will be Communication and Conflict.  Babysitting is provided.  Please call the church office at 763-546-3131 with the number of children needing babysitters.

King's Kids Event

King's Kids is comprised of youth in grades 3-6 who are members at King of Grace Church. We have monthly activities (usually on a Sunday afternoon) from October through May. This is a great opportunity for the kids and their families to enjoy some fellowship time together! On Sunday, October 22 we will head to Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee.  Admission for Sever’s is free for members in grades 3-6 and kids ages 3 and under.  Others are $12 per person.  We will meet in the cafeteria at KOG following second service (around noon).  Please bring a bag lunch for those in your family.  At about 12:30 we will depart for Sever's with an arrival time at 1:00 PM.  Your admission is good until they close on Sunday, so you can stay as long as you'd like. Please RSVP to Abby Marozick by Wednesday, October 18.

Food Shelf Drive

The King of Grace Food Shelf Drive has begun and will continue through next Sunday, October 22. Please consider bringing in an item or two to help those in need.

Candy Donations Needed for Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is a fun and safe alternative or addition to traditional Trick or Treating.  Parents park in the upper lot, decorate their trunks, and pass out candy.  Many trunks follow themes or include little activities for the kids.  If you aren't able to decorate a trunk, come and enjoy the fun anyway!  There will be music, games, activities, crafts, and tons of candy!  If you'd like to donate a bag of candy, we will be collecting donations in the narthex on Sunday, October 22 and Sunday, October 29.

No Rummage Sale This Year

In an effort to try new fundraising ideas, King of Grace School will not be having a rummage sale this year. If you have been collecting items to donate to the sale, consider many of the worthwhile non-profit thrift shops, such as Wise Penny in Buffalo.

Now Available: Electronic Giving!

King of Grace is pleased to announce a convenient new way to make your regular offerings.  With our new electronic giving program, you can easily set up a recurring giving schedule or make one-time contributions.  Your gifts will be automatically accounted for in your name with our new church membership system, just like giving with an envelope.  It’s convenient for you and provides much-needed consistency for our church.  If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes.  Even when travel, illness, or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, our church will continue to receive your contributions on an uninterrupted basis.  To become an electronic giver, click on the “Give” tab at our new King of Grace web site

Sunday Greeters

The King of Grace Sunday door GREETER program is returning!   But first, without regard to specific dates for specific services - we would like your indication of willingness to participate in the program.  There will be no minimum, nor maximum for the number of times you wish to be a Greeter.  We will endeavor to use a nifty electronic sign-up system to line up each Sunday’s Greeters.  If you do not wish to do that, we will also accommodate regular sign ups.  Questions or suggestions - please contact any of the members of the Membership Committee.  Start date is likely for services starting November 5.  If you are interested, please leave your name on the Greeter Interest form at the Welcome Desk.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat will be held on Sunday, October 29, from 3:30 – 5:30 PM.  There will be fun for kids of all ages!  Please dress up and decorate your trunk, and you could win great prizes.  There will be hot dogs to enjoy for dinner, games to play, and candy to share.  This is an event for the whole family – we hope to see you there!  Bring a friend or neighbor!

New Member Welcome Reception

Please attend the New Member Welcome Reception in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 AM on Sunday, November 12!   Special morning treats will be served while we enjoy a presentation to help us become acquainted with the many new members joining the King of Grace family.
